Can my kid play with a friend who doesn't have a gaming bike?
Sure, as long as both players have the compatible game installed on their Switches, one can play from the gaming bike while the other plays in the normal way. Your kid won't be disadvantaged at all - they'll just be getting fitter. Bring on sports day!
Is the gaming bike compatible with the new Nintendo Switch 2?
Yes it does, which is great news because the new Switch has a much bigger screen. It also comes with a new and improved version of Mario Kart with new tracks, 'free roam' mode, and it allows up to 24 players on the same track. That will make esport tournaments even better!
How long do kids typically play for?
It'll depend on their fitness and how hard they crank on the resistance. If we let our 9-year-old son to play without any time restrictions, he'll play for a least an hour or two, sometimes three. The games are highly engaging so it's their fitness that will limit them more than anything else.
How big is the gaming bike?
The footprint is 45cm by 75cm, and the height is dependant on the saddle and handlebar settlings. It weight approximately 14kg.
How do I adjust the resistance?
There is a lever to manually adjust resistance. Choose one of 12 levels of resistance.
For mulitplayer scenarios: In racing mode, both the resistance and cadence are used by the speed algorithm to adjust the in-game speed. In friendly mode, only the cadence is used so you can simply select a level of resistance that feels comfortable.
Is there a weight limit?
Yes there is, sorry Dads. No post-pub shenanigans ok? There's a weight limit of 80kg because it's quite a little piece of kit, and it's made for kids. Actual kids.
How do I adjust the size for different users?
For the saddle height, there are 16 positions to choose from. The lowest of which is suitable for a 4 year old, the highest setting is suitable for a young teen or a small adult (approximately 5ft 5")
Similarly, the handlebar controller height is adjustable through 14 settings. Simply release the lock mechanism, slide it to the desired height, and secure the lock mechanism once again.
Can I replace the saddle with my own?
Sure! We have sourced the comfiest saddle possible but assuming your little one is particularly attached to another one, (or if they wear it out - I guess that's possible too) we use a standard fitting so you're able to replace it.
How do I move the gaming bike around?
Good question! It has little wheels which allow you to move it around without you having to lift it. Simply pull it backwards until it is balanced on the wheels and then steer it to a new location and carefully place it back down. (Careful not to drop it!)
Is the controller sweat-proof?
All electronics are fully sweat-proofed, ensuring durability and protection for years to come. We would recommend caution with liquids but sweat will be fine.
